Global Sourcing (UK) Ltd is a specialist sourcing company with offices based in London and Shanghai. The company was established in 2003 to bridge the gap between the UK and China and make the whole lifecycle of sourcing from China a much more straight forward proposition.
Now in our eighth year we have expanded our Low Cost Country Sourcing (LCCS) department to make it available to both large and small companies based in the UK.
Sourcing from countries like China can seem like an impossible task for many companies that simply don’t have the time or experience to manage the many levels required for LCCS.
In its most simplistic form, the lifecycle of sourcing from the Far East looks like this.
But this only tells us half the story. With elements such as copyright, language barriers, different currencies, contracts, tax and duties, local laws, international laws, certification and testing, it is no surprise that companies shy away from sourcing in China.
